Flight Path

On Friday I will be departing via Air Canada on board a Boeing 777-300ER, designated 77W. The 77W is a 349 seat jet airliner which joined Air Canada's fleet in 2007. Powered by GE90-115B turbofans, the most powerful jet engine currently in service providing 513 kN of thrust each, the 77W reaches a cruising speed of 896 km/h at 10,668 m above ground. A 181,280 L fuel capacity provides a flight range of 14,594 km, more than enough to reach its connection in Narita International Airport in Narita, Japan.

Upon landing in Narita I will be connecting with a United Airlines Boeing 747 to Bangkok, which I am actually unclear as to the details of. The whole affair should amount to a bit more than 20 hours of airtime. Having not flown in 14 years, I don't know how I feel about that. I plan to spend the majority of the flights either sleeping, watching Code Geass (recommended by someone) or playing SimCity 4.
